Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist
Chris Russell is an APA Titled Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist, having completed a Masters degree in Physiotherapy and post graduate Masters degree in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy. Chris also holds an additional undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and Rehabilitation. Â

Chris has extensive Sports Physiotherapy experience and has moved across from Sydney to Perth to commence as Head Physiotherapist to the elite Western Force / RugbyWA Academy. Chris will divide his time between this part time team based role with the Western Force and his clinical work as a member of the Pure Sports Physio team at our Osborne Park Sports Physiotherapy and Exercise rehabilitation centre.

Chris has previously worked as the Head Physiotherapist for the prestigious Sydney University in NSW’s Premier Rugby competition, including supporting the winning Shute Shield team in 2022. Chris also spent two years as part of Rowing Australia’s Physiotherapy support team including travelling with the team to the 2023 World Rowing Championships tours to Italy and France.

Chris is a passionate Physiotherapist and has enjoyed sharing his knowledge as a teaching academic, tutoring undergraduate Physiotherapy students at Sydney University.
