Simon Melling is an APA Titled Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist, completing his postgraduate Masters in Sports Physiotherapy qualification here in Perth through Curtin University in 2023.

Simon commenced his undergraduate training back in the United Kingdom, with an initial degree in Applied Physiology and Exercise Science in his homeland of Ireland, before completing his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (with Honours) degree in Edinburgh, Scotland.Â

Simon has extensive experience working as a Physiotherapist both in Australia and the UK over the past 11 years across private practice, hospital and sporting settings.  Most notably in recent years, Simon has held Performance Physiotherapy roles with the prestigious Chelsea Football Club’s Academy in London; Team Bath (University of Bath) working with developmental international pathway athletes in triathlon, netball & hockey; and as an accredited TASS (Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme) multi-sport Physiotherapist servicing Team Great Britain athletes.

Simon is currently the Head Physiotherapist to the Perth Glory Football Club Academy – NPL, u/20s and and u/18s Squads and will divide his time between this team-based role, and his clinical work as a valuable member of the Pure Sports Physio team at our Osborne Park Sports Physiotherapy and Exercise rehabilitation clinic.
